I'm writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend who I bought this book for. He absolutely loved this handy little book!! He said all the classes and therapy group sessions where they tried to explain certain technique jargon finally became clear just by reading this book. The author does a great job at breaking down the process of anxiety and my boyfriend said he really felt at times he was in the room with him because his understanding is spot on! He even utilized the letter included in the book to help others understand a bit about what he goes through and suffers. It made him feel normal about his anxiety and that the severity is not uncommon. He now doesn't think he's overly crazy and that's priceless!!! Thanks for this little, amazing book!!

Let me sum up this entire book: breathe. When your life is full of constant panic, anxiety, and worry- All you have to do is a little yoga and breathe and your crippling fears will go away- according to everyone that does not actually have anxiety. Its not that this book is completely incorrect, its that it has no more info than a psychology today article and is too generalized to be helpful. If you just discovered yesterday that you may have very mild anxiety this may help you but if you've suffered for years, been to therapy and your looking for new info on handling daily life with anxiety, look elsewhere.

Unique among all the self help books I have read thus far in my life (which, admittedly, isn't many) I found Hardcore Self Help: F**k Anxiety to be helpful and applicable to my life and daily struggles almost immediately.Robert Duff doesn't use the dreaded "psychobabble"; he's not out to impress the reader with his superior intelligence, nor is he just talking to hear himself talk (er, write). These things make his advice and insight come across as genuine, his desire to help the reader with their anxiety sincere.Of course, what works for one person will not necessarily work for the next, but if you're struggling and looking for a book that deviates from the usual self help norm, I highly recommend Hardcore Self Help: F**k Anxiety.

Great segue into getting out of your head and into your life. Will you find all of the answers here? No. Why? Because they don’t exist. I had a major panic attack in the midst of reading this. By employing some of the suggested techniques I was completely fine the next day. Literally like the previous day never happened.

To be honest, I was looking for a bit more. I'm not sure what, but...more. Name your anxiety, breathe and count, you can do this. That was essentially my take away. Three stars for the info provided and five stars for the tone of the book...it was like a convo I would have with a friend or maybe myself.

It's a simple "It'll be okay." It doesn't claim to go deep in the psychological science of anxiety and that's fine. It helped me come to terms with a recent anxiety diagnosis through hilarious analogies and terrible language and simple coping mechanisms. I would definitely recommend it to others dealing with a new diagnosis.

After reading all the positive reviews for this book I was really looking forward to reading it. I was completely disappointed. Nothing new or profound nor useful. Waste of money.

I am a very analytical thinker. To understand something I need to know why its happening. I have debilitating anxiety and panic attacks. This book was super real and easy to read. A lot of books get into industry verbiage to the point where you feel lost. Now you have anxiety and you feel lost. Great! The only thing is I wish it was longer.

Definitely not your traditional self-help book which is exactly why I love it. Instead of feeling like you're being doctored or having your head shrunk you feel like you're talking to a friend or fellow mate who also has anxiety and panic attacks. Not only does this book help you cope but it also makes you feel like you have someone to talk to. I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks or either one.

This book truly is exceptional. Other readers have commented on it being life changing, and I do believe that to be so. I am in the early stages of the book as well, and have thumbed through it. Well organized and beautifully written--except I find it very difficult to read anything that addresses a singular noun and then keeps jumping to plural. " If your child"...."they". The early pages are rife with this. Just make a comment at the beginning of the book that you will refer to he or she throughout.That said, I like the way the author refers to the toddler psyche. Toddlers don't have a mean bone in their body, for example. So true. It really has helped me remain so calm when our little toddler begins to have a toddler melt down. These are very few in occurrence and I think the advice this book shares contributes to her well being.

This book has been a total life changer for my family and I! Even though we are well versed in Montessori, Simone's book gives fantastic practical tips for dealing with the 'challenging toddler years' in a downright gorgeous layout. She offers tools and tips that not many other books do, such as specific language recommendations or age appropriate activities. We were fortunate to get this book one year ago (from Kickstarter) and it has made all the difference in approaching the 'terrible twos' (which are really more like the 'talismanic twos'!) Our son has become an example to other families and we are so grateful to Simone for providing us the tools to parent compassionately and truly follow our child. This book is an absolute must have for raising a toddler, montessori or not.

Toddlers are torn; they want to help, and don't, want to cuddle, and be left alone. They are wise and yet irrational. This is a much needed book among "Montessori" parenting books. Many of these talk about setting up activities for academics, this book is about setting up the home environment for success and growth in all areas. And, because the needs of toddlers are unique, it is geared for parents during this wonderful, complex period.Any parent of any toddler will learn so much, AND the book itself is lovely!

I bought this book to have a clearer understanding of how to prepare my toddler for Montessori preschool. I figured it would be easier on her if I already used a few methods at home instead of enrolling her in a school where everything is different than she is used to. The layout made the Book very easy to read and mark ideas I want to incorporate or revisit. An unexpected bonus is it gave me a better understanding that the "montessori" pre-schools that I have toured locally are not up to snuff and I feel more knowledgeable about what I am looking for in a quality Montessori program.

I am only 24 pages in and I am loving this. Davies write in such a concise and clear way to teach readers about the Montessori approach! The layout of the book is simple, organized, and easy to navigate. I can’t wait to dig in further!

This is so much more than a book about Toddlers. The strategies and information that Simone Davis shares with her readers have the ability to transform your home life. I just started getting into this book but what I already loved is how ORGANIZED it is! About the Author

Jamal Joseph is a writer, director, producer, poet, activist, and educator. While incarcerated for his active participation in the Black Panther Party, Joseph earned two college degrees, and wrote five plays and two volumes of poetry. The book itself is incredible. I absolutely adored the stories in it, the poems & i loved the inserts & enclosures. They made the book so special, the one flaw was that my purchase was a used item cause they don't produce this book anymore. It was missing one insert, i shouldn't be complaining about that but still. it would've been great to have all of the inserts. Just missing one. But all in all, this book is nothing less than incredible. The enclosures make it feel like you're holding original copies of Pac's work. Amazing. Rest In Peace to The Greatest Of All Time.
